As you’ve probably figured out I’m obsessed with finding and buying old copies of first edition personal development and success books.
(Technically, I think I have bibliomania…)
These are the original SOURCE for all the stuff being published today about success!
And Napoleon Hill is one of my absolute favorites. I’m actually good friends with the Napoleon Hill Foundation and I was able to get my hands on something pretty special.
In fact, this is one of the MOST RARE pieces from Napoleon Hill I’ve ever found.
But I’ve got to tell you a little story first.
On January 1st, 1919, Napoleon Hill launched a new magazine called, “Hill’s Golden Rule.” In the first issue, he included a column called “Applied Psychology” and said that it was “the first of a series of twelve reading lessons which will appear in these columns.” Over the next 6 months he wrote a lesson each month for that column. Then he condensed them into a booklet called “It Will Place You Wherever You Wish To Be Among Men” and used that as his lead magnet for getting people to subscribe to his magazine.
He then wrote 6 more lessons for a total of 12. Referring to these two booklets, he said, “A man may literally re-create himself — make himself over — by an intelligent study and application of the Laws of Psychology. No man truly succeeds without applying them; whether he is conscious of the fact or not. More men would succeed if they would only learn them…”
When I first got my hands on these 12 lessons, I was astonished.
There were familiar things that I read or that I’d heard before, but there were key insights and clarity that had been lost to time. Going back to the root source had a huge impact on me.
And I think it will on you, too!
In fact, there are a LOT more than just 12 lessons in this book. Although it’s formally split into 12 lessons or chapters, there are probably hundreds hidden within the pages. I learn more with every read-through.
So over the next few days, I want to take you on a journey through the 15 lessons I’ve learned from this never-before-published (until now!) book, It Will Place You Wherever You Wish To Be Among Men.
