Sudoku puzzles date back to 2000 BC with their origins in China.
“Wordoku” is simple a variation of sudoku using letters instead of numbers. The twist is that the letters have to spell a word in one direction on the grid. Could be vertical. Could be horizontal. Due to this little twist, wordoku puzzles aren’t created automatically with push a single button software. (Or push ten buttons either – I thought about counting how many buttons on average but then I may not have wanted to make these)
Because the creation isn’t automated, and it does take tons of time, the competition is low compared to the traditional number versions.

And Wordoku’s are a very untapped market. Search wordoku on Amazon and you’ll find over half the listings aren’t Wordoku’s at all, but are the traditional number sudokus. Considering that creating these is not automated but rather an individual process, and the competition goes way down as most book creators don’t want to spend hours creating a single puzzle book interior. (So I’m a bit weird!}
