solar and wind power are, at the moment, little more than a joke. it will be at least another 50 years before these technologies develop to the point that they'll be affordable and realistic as a power source. when that time comes, i will totally embrace it, however in the meantime there IS an alternative to the corporate ejaculation that is oil, and thats nuclear power.

Well, my satisfaction is I can squish spiders under Gucci shoes instead of Walmart shoes.I'm also very satisfied that most of the Premarin Patrol has been removed from Youtube, but that's not related to platinum or palladium.What is the German word for "interrogation"? I wonder if "uberfragen", "durchfragen" would be understood.

(cont'd)as it is, we have that to thank for 20% of our energy, and so far no mutated strains of babies have appeared. people greatly overestimate the effect that nuclear power has on the environment, especially considering how sealed off the plant itself is. as for the making sense bit, could you explain how its a "corporate welfare program brought to you by your friendly federal government and their lobbyist pals"? quite frankly, i don't understand what you mean at all.

The Nuclear Power industry would not exist without massive government subsidies invested in the design, construction and operation of nuclear power plants. Private capital will not invest in nuclear development on its own, nor can the industry be insured for public liability except by itself and the federal government. That is what I mean by corporate welfare. The nuclear industry cannot stand on its own two feet because it does not make business sense - its a welfare case.
