they change different features of the game such as making enemies harder to kill, turning off your radar, lowering the amount of ammo in your guns, and turning off your shield's auto-recharge. Turning them on makes the game harder and gives you point multipliers when you play meta-games.

hey dude, sometimes the catch skull doesn't appear, even when i only kill 1 wraith
