The Economics of Information Products

Internet Marketing 1 Comment »

The expansion of the internet and the digital economy has brought a clear and powerful value to information. While information has always been important to businesses and governments, the ability to rapidly develop and distribute information via the internet has literally turned information into a commodity. There is now a thriving business of information products, using the internet to maximize distribution while minimizing the cost of spreading the information. Of course, much of the most important information is only valuable for a short time, and so the information products have a unique type of profitability which can enable it’s sellers to make lots of money or lose everything in only a short period of time.

The most common types of the products relate to commerce. Every company, big or small, is desperate for good information, and are willing to take intelligently researched products from anyone. This means that those who are willing to put in the time and research can produce information and report products that are very valuable. Many industries have few competitors and limited research budgets, and often they are willing to pay large sums of money for researched works which may only apply to them. This can be something as large as a book or narrow as a hot tip.

The nature of the products means that they very quickly lose their value as the information becomes more widespread, and also that they have no value if they are not credible. This means that persons who develop the products should research their subjects well and include references from already credible sources. It is possible for someone who sells the products to gain respect and value if they provide good information over and over again, but this takes time. Still, it is possible for almost anyone to develop and sell information products through careful research and niche marketing.

The Practicality in Traffic Exchange

Internet Marketing No Comments »

Putting up a web site doesn’t end with making an effectively compelling site entrance. A huge amount of traffic must surely be directed to it so it can do its job. Who shall the site entice if nobody is visiting it? Online businesses rely on web traffic as it is the only potential source of income. Machines wouldn’t buy or take part of special offers. Online businesses target people visiting the web sites technically known as traffic.

Spending a lot of cash to start with a business online is not a very good idea. If a web site or business system is already up online, and the only thing missing is the most important thing which is traffic, then something must be done to have it fast and cost effective. There are a lot of ways to get traffic but some need a certain amount to pay. For starters and low budgeted ventures, programs with free memberships are available and efficient. Engaging with these is a very wise thing to do to keep one from slashing his or her pocket because of high cost internet marketing programs.

Among the free or low cost internet marketing programs is traffic exchange. There are currently a lot of sites offering traffic exchange programs. Most of them have free memberships and has a small amount to purchase some desired credits.

It is very easy to join a traffic exchange program. One just needs to sign up for it, activate the account through email verification, and then go with the program. The principle with traffic exchange is to browse on other member’s sites to earn credits, which are then assigned to a site for the other members to view.

In essence, it is not really free at all. A member needs to devote ample time and effort in order to get the desired amount of traffic. There is something to give as well. However the monetary cost in joining is not much of a worry. If not enough time can be given to surf other member sites, then there are some credit packages that can be bought at low cost.

Since there are a lot of programs offering traffic exchange, it is best to be a part of at least 5 of them and surf on member sites at the same time with a multiple tab browser. Allotting one hour per day on 5 or more traffic exchanges through multiple browsers would really help bring streaming traffic to the site.

Leading people to see the site or any promotional or landing page is a great opportunity to have potential customers. This is a lot better than leaving the site standing online like a cactus in the desert; without anyone visiting it. Though a cactus grows beautiful flowers, no one will notice or see it in the middle of the desert. People must be directed to see it and be amazed with its beauty. Then the people who were amazed will surely tell the story to others who might most probably desire to see it too.

This is the logic of traffic exchange. It is surely a very practical way of getting potential customers for starters or for owners who want to cut short with marketing budget.

Paul Kinder has been with Traffic Exchange for years. His business supports free traffic generation and helps a lot of businesses. To know more about it, see free traffic

Four Ways To Find The EBay Alternatives To Fit Your Business

Internet Marketing No Comments »

eBay alternatives do exist!

In fact, there are several viable alternatives to selling on eBay for the ecommerce entrepreneur, and you will probably find them much more seller friendly, besides a lot more economical than eBay.

Before you choose an alternative to eBay, you should first consider the type of product or products you are selling, as different websites are geared toward different types of items.

For example, if your business is dropshipping new books, then Amazon might be a much better marketplace for you than eBay.

If, however, your niche market is vintage items such as clothing or textiles, Amazon wouldn’t work for you because at this time, it doesn’t carry vintage or used clothing. In that case, a different web site such as Bonanzle might work very nicely for you.

Here are four simple steps you can take to find a website that will be a suitable, economical alternative to selling on eBay, and that will enable you to set up and start selling immediately, with a minimum of fuss and bother:

1. Do a Google search for “eBay alternatives” or “online auction sites”. You will discover that your search will return several websites. You need to check them out to see what each has to offer.

2. When visiting each website with an eye for how it would work for you as an alternative to selling on eBay, check to make sure that you would be able to sell your products there.

Browse the categories, read the policies and learn about listing fees and final value fees, membership fees, if any; listing restrictions, listing durations, etc.

3. Once you have chosen a site that seems suitable for the types of items you sell, follow the instructions on the website to join and become a member/seller.

4. Now, simply start listing your items for sale on the new site. Some eBay alternative sites make it especially easy for sellers by allowing you to quickly and easily import your listings from eBay in bulk.

Voila! In only a few moments, you can find great places to list and sell your products besides eBay….choose the one that best suits your needs according to what type of items you sell…..register as a seller, list your items and be ready for business!

If eBay isn’t working for you anymore, not to worry—there is life after eBay and other profitable auction sites just waiting for you to start selling!

Now you know how to pick the alternative to eBay that is right for you it’s a good time to start looking for eBay alternatives. Chinavasion has the biggest dynamic list of reviewed eBay alternative sites that you will see on the internet today. Check it out at http://www.chinavasion.com/ebay_alternatives.html now.

Believe me – “Amazon is not the Ultimate”

Internet Marketing No Comments »

I got the disappointment of my life today when I tried buying an MP3 sound track from Amazon. I don’t want to believe that other authentic track sellers would have sold me the track because the reasons for failing were given and they are justifiable. My country (and maybe yours as well) are not eligible for downloading MP3s on sale online.

How daunting that this is not always obvious; you do all the work searching, doing the logins and so on, only to find that the ‘Check Out’ button wont take you where you want. Its unfortunate at this point that no matter how much willing you are to pay for this service, you just cannot be afforded. I don’t doubt the capabilities of Amazon, but I had to learn it the hard way and my lesson goes on even for the other items that this organization sells. Even similar companies may like ebay.com may have the same problem.

Sometimes it may sound rude to but it works faster to have the notice go up at the front that this is for Americans only and the rest of us should go somewhere else. It saves us time and the frustrations, let alone the hope of getting the products. This experience made me recall other internet experienced that got me down this very road. I therefore wrote an article that could help those of us that may get discouraged from such experiences to swallow it as it is because it doesn’t mark the end of the world. There are options. By the way, next I tried buying the whole album but Amazon brought back the same old story, I translate – ‘Remember Sir., you are from Africa, this is not for you’.  Therefore,  ‘Could Online Business be Better in America than it is in Africa?’
